How can you burn soup?

Anyhoo, yeah - get some ventilation down there and wait, I suppose.

Whenever my mom burns something in the kitchen (be it dinner or the counter

), she lights up candles.

I guess it works considering the burning smell soon goes away.

You could try cutting an onion in half and leaving it on a plate in the offending area. Onions absorb odors easily.

You could also try some baking soda or activated charcoal (often used in aquariums) to try and soak up the smell.

Use Febreeze on anything that can absorb the odor (fabric, carpet, etc.)

If you can wait, it'll go away after a few days if you have any air cirulation at all.

I went to reheat some soup and starting doing some work in maya...totally forgot about the soup...the computer room and kitchen are on opposites sides of the house. barely heard the alarm over my music...ran downstairs and the kitchen was full of smoke... good thing I had a circulon pot...the soup was black and hard,but a wooden spoon and sponge cleaned the pot ...thought I was going to trash it.

I used febreeze but there is one spot in the kitchen that has a lingering smell and can't figure out what.
