Steam Link.

Anyone pick this up? I grabbed on Steam on a whim as it's currently $4. Got home last night and remembered to give it a go. 3 hours later, I was still playing, and only stopped as I needed to go to sleep. It pushes all the right 'one more go'-buttons that I have.

RPS has a summary of what it's all about.

I'm currently at 2.5m as a top score at Explorer level, so I still have some way to go.

Edit: 5.8m now!

Only played for about 10 mins, but seems pretty good. Im actually having more fun playing dungeon raid on my phone - which seems like the same type of game. I prefer touch on a game like this, opposed to using a mouse.

I heard this was originally an iPhone/iPad game, ported over to PC?

Haven't heard much on the PC version, but if it's identical to the mobile version (which I hear good things about) then I might pick it up. Seems very simple and addicting.

I have this on iOS and the Steam looks to be identical in every way minus the touch controls of course.

I completed it last night... and proceeded to go back to try and get the rest of the achievements. The only one I don't have is getting 10000000 on Explorer difficulty. Need to figure out the best combination of potions to use.

I've been playing for a little bit, and I can definitely tell why this is so appealing. The concept is quite clever. I just wish I were better at match-3 puzzle games.

it's crazy difficult, or I'm just not very good at matching things.

Yea i think i suck at this too. Ill get a great run going, and then ill need a key or something, and i have almost none on the screen. High score after 2 hours - 375000 :(

Any tips? lol

Picked this up for the iPhone, it is entertaining for a while but before long you realize the only real key to success is playing over and over farming money/resources for upgrades. The randomness of the board ensures that you fail early most of the time, as you will usually run in to an obstacle that you simply don't have the board pieces to overcome in time. I really don't like the monster difficulty increase curve either. It goes from killing a monster in 3 hits to killing a monster in 10 hits within a single level, which basically just creates a wall that you simply can't overcome until you run the level 10-15 more times and upgrade your weapon.

It's a certain type of game for a specific audience. There's a lot of these type of games ("upgrade" games, "upgrade to win", "launcher" games) where you do the same thing over and over earning money to upgrade and get a little further each time. While it has a match 3 game tied to it, it's still in the same vein as Toss the Turtle, Hedgehog Launch, or Earn to Die.

I, for one, love these games for some reason and will spend the few hours necessary to beat them. I'm not sure why... I know they're repetitive and require almost no skill or effort in many cases, but I'm still hooked. Not everybody likes all types of games, and just like I never understood the draw of tower defense games maybe you just don't understand the draw of these "upgrade to win" games.

It's good for around 10-20 hours if your not very good at match-3s and want to complete everything (and do a single run from the first dungeon on to the final boss). I enjoyed it on iOS, but the controls may be somewhat more difficult on PC.

It's going to feel overwhelming at first (think Dark Souls in that you don't get anywhere and keep dying) but there's no penalty for death, so it's not that bad. If your the person who really enjoys it when you get a super long flight in Turtle Toss or Burrito Bison, you'll probably like this game.

Anybody getting a bug with completed missions popping back up? Every time I boot the game "lumberjack" is back in my list from several levels ago.

Fun game, can't seem to get pass 17mil. I seem to get the best results with the +15% score potion, extra lock potion, +15% score guys hit 30% harder and the double shields per match no exp, gold wood one.

Yea I didn't mean to suggest it was a bad game or anything. I got a good 3-4 hours of entertainment out of it. I was just disappointed when I realized after about an hour that I had basically experienced everything the game had to offer and the rest was just grinding the same activity over and over, I feel like they could have added a decent amount of extra depth without that much more development effort.

I played it (on iOS) obsessively for a few days. Great little distraction.

I just got this last night great puzzle game. I'm surprised this is not a face book game. Played it for like 3 hours last night.
