When are the next generation IDE hard drives due? Despite tricks like 8MB buffers and marketing gimmicks like ATA133, manufacturers are pretty much trying to squeeze water out of a rock at this 7200 RPM point.
I havn't looked into SATA much, but I doubt they'll have 10K RPM IDE drives, I'm under the impression they don't make them simply because they don't want to eat into their SCSI sales.
