The Queen has taken the Eurostar train to Paris at the start of a trip celebrating 100 years of the Entente Cordiale agreement which ended colonial rivalries between Britain and France.
The British and French have a love-hate relationship but the treaty signed on April 8, 1904, has proved a lasting alliance -- and the Eurostar is a modern symbol of their cooperation.
