~$100 video card recommendation

My fx 5600 died using a gf4 mx 420 atm. Haven't kept up with the market and what's out now but can anyone recommend a good card for around $100? Nvidia chipsets only please.

Oh, I should mention my system is only agp 4x.

Not even a used 9700 Pro or 9800NP? You might be able to pick one of those up for around $100-120 from the FS/FT forum. 🙂

I play mostly World of Warcraft, Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory, Neverwinter Nights, but would like to be able to play Doom 3 again hehe.

@ Hi: Hmm, does agp 8x also mean it will work in my agp 4x?

Yeah, I would go with the 6200 or a radeon 9600 pro. They say the 6200 can be unlocked to a 6600, but it's never guaranteed.

get a geforce 6200 WITHOUT TURBOCACHE. turbocache, despite its name, makes the card slower by using system memory. hence why it's cheaper.

this is the cheapest 6200 without turbocache. not sure about the agp thing. I think so but DON'T take my word for it.

Agreed, xtknight, people that want to buy a card that can play games need to avoid the TC 6200s. They should also avoid all cards that only have a 64-bit memory bus. The Leadtek 6600 (128-bit memory bus that you linked to) is a good deal for >$100 / <$150.
