Have you been to every region of the world? I mean, there's probably at least 1000 foods that I haven't tried that I would love to try if I ever get a chance to ...

doesnt mean i have an interest in trying it. I know what i like, i've already tried all the things i cared to try and am very much content with that.
That doesnt mean i never try new foods, i do, i just don't care if i do or not.

I have had 65 off the list. Maybe more but I didn't know what they were at the time (traveled to 32 countries by the age of 7)

Counted 45 that I've eaten. Didn't count a few that I had eaten but that weren't really authentic, like school lunch churros and canned clam chowder (only been to New England once and didn't have clam chowder when I was there).

I had an oyster once and it was so disgusting I couldn't even swallow it, I had to run to the bathroom and spit it out. It was like holding a huge wad of snot in my mouth. I've had liver a few times and it has ranged from "like beef, but worse" to downright nasty so no thanks on the foie gras. I had intestines a couple times when I was in China and while it wasn't the worst thing I've eaten, I definitely wouldn't eat it again.

On the other hand, I also had roasted sheep stomach in China and it was really good so who knows. Organ meats generally turn me off but they're not all bad.

50. Heirloom Tomatoes (I assume this is American for normal Tomatoes)

I guess you've never watched/read Jamie Oliver, Gordon Ramsey, Heston Blumenthal, or a million other British chefs?

9. Bird’s Nest Soup
11. Black Pudding
26. Crickets
28. Dandelion wine
30. Durian
41. Fugu
48. Haggis
55. Kangaroo
100.Zucchini Flowers

These are the only items I have not tried. Of them I intend to make some Dandelion wine this year, and I'm planning to plan zucchini's in my garden this year so I'll harvest some flowers for eating.

I've always said that I'm going to eat Fugu and go skydiving just to face down death twice in one day!

No. No. No. My theoretical limit is apparently 97/100.

What do you have aginst abalone? You really should try it, it is quite good. There is a stew that is made with it that I'm fond of.

Nothing's stopping you. It's legal to sell in the US now, so you no longer even have to order it from overseas. http://www.absintheonline.com/acatalog/Absinthe.html

Actually, you can almost certainly pick up a bottle in your local liquor store now. Look for Lucid, it is the real deal made with grande wormwood and quite tasty. I have a bottle in my liquor cabinet right now.

Yea, I tend to get rather excited about foods, I guess other people just don't have the same interests. Sorta like with beers, how I want to try every ale ever brewed, and most people are happy with their crappy macrolagers...

I've had everything on that list but two items. A few of them I had to look up because it has been a LONG time since I've eaten them. Not to say I liked everything on that list I've tried either. Here is what I haven't tried

48. Haggis

Just doesn't sound appealing every time I think about it.

55. Kangaroo

Just isn't served anywhere I've been.

Most of the list is foreign foods and not your typical Amerian faire. So unless you do a lot of traveling (military brat and was in the AF), or live in a huge multicultural metropolitan area then I doubt you'll even have a chance to try some of the foods on that list.

I would try Kangaroo though if offered. I doubt very much I'll ever try haggis in my lifetime and you know what? I don't think I missing much.

I don't know of any restaurants that serve kangaroo meat or squirrel meat.

They do squirrel in some southern restaurants and in some places in the UK surprisingly.

33 for me, but that list has a lot of stuff missing. Didn't see swordfish, mahi-mahi, or tuna steaks, schnitzel, spanakopita, etc.
