$100 Rebate for a Philips Flat-Screen Monitor at Staples

A Staples manager told me that starting tomorrow (Sunday), Staples will have a $100 MIR a one of the Philips true-flat-screen 17" monitors at Staples. I don't know the exact model, sorry, but I don't think Staples would carry that many models.

Well i think the 100 rebate is on the Philips 170B 17" LCD monitor and the 15" one, the 15 inches is $699 before the rebate , and there is coupon around to bring down 40 dollar more... SKU is 452452 for 15inches and 452453 for 17inches

I believe the MIR is for the CRT (tube) true-flat monitors, not for the flat-panel monitors. Staples have Philips 107T flat-screen for $299, so my guess is that the rebate will be for that monitor. The manager showed me the rebate form, but very briefly and I didn't catch the model number.

Edit: I saw the LA Times flyers, the only $100 rebate is for an LCD monitor, so TurtleMan is probably right.

Not trying to bash your thread but I'd check one of these out before you buy it because some of the Philips monitors have a pretty blurry screen when set next to any other monitor you might see what I'm talking about if you do it.. I returned a 107MB because of this strange discrepancy I couldn't get used to.. otherwise they have very nice features and specs..
