My monitor will be a 100 pound crt. I'm looking to just put it on a stand of some sort right next to my current desk. Does anyone know of any stands that support such a weight? Thanks!

I wouldn't get anything except industrial strength steel. Out of curiosity, do you have a link to this beast of a monitor?

Option 2 seems pretty decent as those are the ones we use to carry slide and LCD projectors in my workplace. Those are usually built like tanks and will last a lifetime.

Considering that projectors are under 10Lbs.

For that kind of weight I'd look for stands etc under TV's, not only computer monitors. Walmart used to carry them too.

I can just picture a fly landing on it and the whole thing crashing down. Bump for more ideas this one is a toughy. I am thinking it would be a good idea to stay away from anything wall mounted.
