100 Pirates vs. 100 Ninja - who'd win?

99 ninjas create a distraction while 1 ninja sneaks aboard and sets the ship on fire. Once the flames are a-goin and he's taken out 2 drunken slobs, 4 rats and a parrot, NINJAVANISH!

The ship goes down, the pirates agree to become ninjaslaves.

hmm, at range, Pirates have cannons and know where their enemy is, where is the question? The only problem is the cannons poor rate of fire. Some ninja may be able to retaliate with thrown weapons or swim aboard, but without the element of suprise, the pirates win.

Pirate Advantages:
1. Long range firepower - muskets & canons - Only if the ninjas foolishly charge the pirates in the open area/frontal assult which will never happen.
2. They're on a ship, mini fortress - a death trap for the pirates since the ship can easily be sink.
3. They know that the ninja are there - not an advantages because they are pretty much on the defensive.

Ninja Advantages:
1. A katana doesnt have to be loaded like a musket & a ninja with a katana > a pirate witha saber
2. It's dark so while the pirates know the ninja are there, they cant see them
3. Some pirates are drunk while others have only 1 eye, bad depth perception

From your list, it seems ninjas are the winner.

not necessarily, the pirates could bombard the beach and hope to get lucky - they could also shoot at the ninjas while they're in the water

how can a ninja armed with a katana, shuriken & shogee sink a ship w/o gettin on board first?

The pirates wouldn't even be looking for the ninjas. They would all be laying around on the deck of their stupid boat with their throats slit. The ninjas would send the youngest, weakest ninja to take them out as soon as the retard pirates even though about attacking the ninjas. He would just fly out to the ship, and it would be over in, like, 3 seconds. The rest of the ninjas would be too busy wailing sweet riffs on their guitars and porking the hottest babes in the land to bother with a boat full of dumb pirates.
