~$100 P35 M/B - any one w/ known anomalies?

looking to pick up a p35 m/b for either a e21xx or e8400 (not sure yet) and will be o/cing it. i know sometimes certain m/bs have certain issues and was wondering what issues plague certain boards.

i don't care about brand, i have used msi, dfi, asus, abit, asus, foxconn and others i am probably forgetting in both amd and intel flavors and don't have a favorite - just the one that will do what i want it to and be reliable.

as far as features, don't need much, 3x pci, 1x pci-e16x and that is about all i need, maybe a pci-e 1-4x would be helpful in the future. just need reliable o/cing. at first will be using the ddr667 hp ram (probably @ 400 speeds) and if the cpu and m/b setup can go higher i will pick up some ddr2800 ram if needed.

in all reality, i am kind of looking harder at the e21xx w/ a 8-10x multiplier for a "budget" build unless crazy cooling is needed to go that high (will be using a zalman 7000 series hsf (w/ adapter))

guess my main questions would be do certain boards undervolt? have V regulation issues, etc stuff like that that would drive you crazy trying to figure it out.

thanks in advance for your knowledge and saving me the time of going through all the posts 🙂

The gigabyte GA-P35-DS3L seems to be very solid and OCable. Stick with the stock Intel CPU cooler (or other "downdraft" style cooler) to ensure proper secondary cooling of the north bridge and pwm areas.
