ok, i just bought a 3.0 GHZ processor and AB60N Shuttle Mobo (im not sure if processor is C or E or what, i think C though, how do i tell?)

im thinking of OCing it, but im not sure of everything i need to watch for besides temperature. I currently have 1 GB CAS 2.5 PC2100 memory (1 GB CAS 2.0 PC3200 dual channel is on the way, is there a certain slot configuration to make it work?)

all voltages are currently set on Auto but shows running CPU at 1.44 Volts through sisoft sandra. To bump the OC i think all im supposed to do is up the Clock, which is currently at 200MHZ. How big of increments should i boost the FSB, should i take voltage off of Auto and set it to something particular? and what besides heat should i watch? and how do i tell how fast the CPU is clocking?

try and see.

1. you can't do much w/ that pc2100 memory.
2. once you get that pc3200.. set memory setting as 5:4 and up your FSB.
3. i'd say 225mhz, then 230, 235. etc etc.
4. once you hit dead end, try uppping the voltage, see if it helps.
5. find the best setting (fsb, volt) for your CPU and live happy :)

you have 3.0E prescott, since the default volt is 1.45

enjoy.

The default on my 2.8E is ~1.3 (well that is what the abit board is saying anyway).
