Involvement folks, thats the key to this thing!
I just checked and it appears at least 100 newbies (generalized
)aren't doing a thing? Granted, some may not be done crunching their first WU, but we need you folks! Every WU counts not only in the race with DSLR, but with SETI as a whole! YOU may the person to find that signal amoungst the stars!!! Some may think big deal, however, if its no big deal then why are MILLIONS to people donating spare cpu cycles to this cause? Because they, we, I believe there is life out there, but we won't know unless we look for a sign! This sign is in the form of a radio signal, will we ever find one? We haven't as of yet, but we still feel the need to look. Will we EVER find one? That depends on their tech level, and our involvement!! perhaps they are behind us in the tech department, perhaps they are so far ahead we cant detect them. But, we will never know UNLESS we look!
Come folks lets band together, lets find E.T. and in the process smash those folks over in DSLR. Can we do it? As Curly used to say WHY CERTAINLY! (always in the name of fun )
I cant stess enough, this is for a good cause, not to mention the great people around you in this forum. Need help? Just ask for it, you will get so much help it will come out of your ears. One thing I've found about Team Anandtech everyone will bend over backwards to lend a hand. To me, that alone is enough to support the team in anyway I can. I have 4 machines running 24/7, just assimulated another one, and working on a deal to increase output.
Again, it doesn't matter if you turnout 1 WU a day or 1 WU a week, it all counts towards finding that signal that says " Is anyone out there?" (of course, it might be a et tv show)
