It was just an example. The average price for a new game release is still about $50.

It was just an example, used to illustrate a point. If you want to be more technical it is about 1 copy of GTA IV = ~8.571428 movie tickets, using those numbers. Happy?

Haha, not bitter I just wish there were more original movies being made opposed to these regurgitated superhero stories or drawn-out sequels/prequels based on superhero stories. where's the originality?

Incidentally, Batman Begins was still superior because Batman doesn't wear a suit of powered armor yet still kicks ass. 😛

And a video game is a better entertainment value for your dollar (GTA will give you 30+ hours of entertainment for $60 vs 2 hours for $10), and a blockbuster game does not come out as often as a blockbuster movie. It's really not fair to compare sales between the two industries.

But I think this can lay to rest the crazy idea that Halo 3 was responsible for the Heartbreak Kid doing poorly on its opening weekend since GTA IV was bigger than Halo 3 and doesn't seem to have hurt Iron Man.

Went to it on friday with the girlfriend, we both enjoyed it. The guy at the register told us to stay after the credits for a surprise, we did and it was pretty awesome. Nice little preview of what's coming up next 😉

When I first saw the previews for this movie I imagined it would suck like most super hero movies (even with me being a serious comic fanatic in my youth). But man it was probably best super hero movie, right up there with Bat Begins, I have ever seen. Robert Downy Jr. really nailed Tony starks just like Christian Bale made an awesome Bruce Wayne.
