Insanity! :) Makes me wonder how much The Dark Knight will take in when it opens this summer. Was there just nothing else worth watching this weekend or something?

Made of honor or Iron man. hmm tough choice. :p

EDIT: and it was good enough for top 10 on the list of largest opening 3 day weekends. I think Dark Knight will knock Iron man out of the top 10 though.

I think they said it was the second best opening for a non-sequel ever.

I find The-Numbers.Com to be more accurate in the long run.

We will find out for sure once the totals are in and we are no longer going off of estimates. :)

You're right. I was thinking dead man's chest was the first one, but it's the sequel . So yea, #2 non-sequel.

Marketing budget was initially slated to be fifty million but may have gone as high as eighty million once cross-promotion is taken into account, according to various movie sites.

The plot seems stupid and the ads make it look like it's made for kids.

Kidnapped by terrorists and forced to design a superweapon? Are you kidding me?

pretty impressive.

I thought about downloading it, but I couldn't bring myself to waste my unlimited bandwidth on it.

Big whoop. Another beefed up superhero movie for the masses just in time for summer.. I don't even care if it's "good" I'm sick of a movie being made about every freaking comic book character ever conceived. What's next, the story of Catwoman? Oh right, already done.

happy to say I didnt contribute to that. with the current price of movie theater tickets, Dark Knight will probably be the only movie I see in the theaters this summer

i wasn't happy with spending $8 a ticket. but felt it was worth going ot see at the theatre. Batman and maybe walle will be the only other ones.

i thought it was a good move. exactly what i thought it would be. a entertaining action movie that i don't have ot think about heh

$8 was two or three summers ago here. Now ticket prices are $10 with student discount here :(

But I agree with you waggy, this movie seems like it will be worth it. I only go see action movies in the theater now - the ones where you need the big screen and theater surround sound.

$5.75 for first show/student/military discount. It used to be $5 just about 1 year ago.
