$100 million opening weekend for Iron Man

Insanity! Makes me wonder how much The Dark Knight will take in when it opens this summer. Was there just nothing else worth watching this weekend or something?

EDIT: and it was good enough for top 10 on the list of largest opening 3 day weekends. I think Dark Knight will knock Iron man out of the top 10 though.

I find The-Numbers.Com to be more accurate in the long run.

We will find out for sure once the totals are in and we are no longer going off of estimates.

You're right. I was thinking dead man's chest was the first one, but it's the sequel . So yea, #2 non-sequel.

Big whoop. Another beefed up superhero movie for the masses just in time for summer.. I don't even care if it's "good" I'm sick of a movie being made about every freaking comic book character ever conceived. What's next, the story of Catwoman? Oh right, already done.

i wasn't happy with spending $8 a ticket. but felt it was worth going ot see at the theatre. Batman and maybe walle will be the only other ones.

But I agree with you waggy, this movie seems like it will be worth it. I only go see action movies in the theater now - the ones where you need the big screen and theater surround sound.
