I think 100 million for people convicted on false and incomplete evidence when the FBI knew they were innocent is not enough. This case goes back about 50 years. These guys spent half their life in jail. That is only 25 million a piece. They should get lost wages for 40 years on top of this with interest. 25 million is not that much for half your life, but still it is quite a bit.

No amount of money can pay me back for loss of prime years of my life. What sucks is that the FBI isn't paying this, the taxpayers are. So, the American people get screwed on both ends when there's governmental misconduct.

How about equal time served for those who perpetrated it?

How about the same for the woman and prosecutor in the Duke rape case?

Seems like it'd deboner their hard-ons for trying to put away innocent people.

Whiskey Tango Foxtrot!

Ugh, stories like that make my stomach turn, can't imagine what that'd be like to be screwed to such a degree. You can't put a price on your prime years, but these guys are entitled to not worry about money from here on out IMO.

"Deboner," heh, thanks Bruno, that really made me laugh. :D Nice sig too!

They each served about 30 years (29, 33). So they're getting over $1M per year. I think that's more than adequte financially. (H3ll, I'd consider spending time in prison at a $1M per year. Wouldn't wanna do more than a few yrs though).

They went in after the age of 40 yrs old. So, they did live a big chunk of their "prime years" before going to jail.

Still no getting around how horrible this story is. A big chunk of their lives was stolen from them, money can't really compensate.

This is a repost in here but I agree that malicious and phoney prosecutions should result with jail time for the nefarious people in authority positions.

The list in this country is mind boggling including personal examples still causing havoc on society such as Georgia Attorney General Baker that is still keeping that kid in prison for consensual sex when he was a minor. Him and the senator and the Governor tried to put me away for 120 years over a screensaver.

I think a lot of people would not go to prison for $1M/year. I suppose with visitation and a clean record after and no taxes onthat $1M I might do it for one year to get the house paid off and kids' education sorted. Plus, I like bubba. Lots.

The people responsible for this should be tried on charges equal to murder. I'd almost rather die than sit in prison for 30yrs for something I didnt do. Could you imagine the hatred that must have brewed inside these people for the 30yrs they were behind bars?? They should be allowed to take revenge on those reponsible in whichever savage way they choose.
