100 Mhz Fsb celerons in socket 370-slot 1 converters

Hi all!

I have a very small problem and hope some of you can answer it. I own an Asus p2b (bx440 chipset) motherboard with an p-II 350 CPU. Recently I decided to make a mini CPU upgrade before Athlon 64/R300-NV30 release, since this configuration even can not satisfy the minimum requirements of the latest games. Aynway I decided to go and buy a socket 370-2-slot 1 adapter (A-open's fc-pga) and use a cheap 100 Mhz FSB celeron's with that.

Unfortunately, there are two things which prevent me to do this. 1-) At first I could not find a BIOS version which enables detection of Coppermine128 processors (Celeron's with 100 Mhz FSB) in Asus's USA website. Later I find another Bios version (1014.002) on powerleap's website and also find the same bios on Asus's german website. Unfortunately there is no info if this bios detects 100 FSb Coppermine128 celerons, nor can I use it with another company's slotket's other than powerleap. 2-) In the A-open's FC-PGA manual, it states that it can use PPGA Celerons or FC-PGA P-III's., but no mention of FC-PGA Celerons. Actually I do not see a reason that the converter can not use FC-PGA Celerons because it can supply required voltage level, but of course I can never know.

My question is: Is there anyone out there who uses Asus P2B with this bios (1014.002) or who uses P2B or any motherboard with a bx440 chipset with a 100 Mhz FSB Celerons with a slotket or who uses 100 MHZ FSB Celeron with A-Open's FC-PGA card, and share his experience with me?

Thanks all... Best!
