I'm currently on the fence between the Shun Classic Hollow-Ground Santoku @$119 on sale, or putting it towards this Anolon cookware set @$199.
What would you guys do?

100$? That's like enough to get a shirt with a little leftover.

I'd sell it in FS/T forum here.
if you get circulon, make sure you don't get one of the sets with the molded-on plastic handles (as opposed to screws or rivets) because the first time you drop it the handle will most likely break off leaving just a metal stub.Originally posted by: scott916
For those who say the cookware... should I go Anolon or Circulon?

you have not developed ultimate ferengi macy's skills. go on a weekend, cruise the clearance racks, and on the weekend you will usually get at least an extra 25% off the reduced clearance price. AND on the weekends, in your local paper, they will usually also run an extra 10% off coupon.
i've purchased many items for under 10 bucks at macy's. it takes patience.

I'm also stuck with $125 in Macy's store credit. I thought I could pick up some nice jewelry for the missus, but Macy's jewelry section was surprisingly suck.
