100% free alternative to BTstack GPS and/or roqyBT4?

I'm playing around with a bluetooth Holux GPS on my iPad and while BTstack GPS and roqyBT4 both to a fine job of connecting the GPS, they both asked for a paid license before the bluetooth connectivity can be shared with other apps.

My question is there a 100% free alternative that already does what the paid versions of these other two apps can do? That is make a BT GPS connection and share it with other apps, but for free.

As far as I know, if you're not willing to shell out that extra $100, then btstack is your only choice.
