100% fan speed at idle?

What are the ramifications of setting your X800 Pro's fan speed to 100% at all times?

that won't affect anything other than just annoy you a little more. same as putting all your case fans at 100%. it won't hurt anything, it's just cooler and louder

I just tried this with my x800 xl pci-e. My 3dmark05 went up 400+ pts from having the fan on 100%.

Any trick for getting the fan to turn on at all? My Asus AX800XL's fan hasn't spun since it was installed. Is there an additional power supply connector I missed or something?
