100" DIY Projector...

Does anyone have the link for this? Basically you can use a montior and "project" it on the wall. I have an extra CRT lyin around and wanted to see how usable it really is.

I believe you have to use an LCD panel, not a CRT.

well, it's not a real projector per se... more of a fun little hobby thing that ebayers try to scam you with. It looks ugly as hell, but it was dirt cheap (i'm talking like $10 in materials. heh).

The i-hacked link is on the right track... gotta find pictures 🙂

you need a LCD

you put a few hundred watts behind it, instead of a normal backlight, and use a lens to aim it properly.
then throw it all in a plywood box.

thing is. I cant afford a LCD.

Maybe strap and overhead projector to an old CRT. lmao. that would be quality.

Because there's a 17" monitor sitting in my basement and I'm curious to see how it looks 🙂
