Is it ok to keep the cpu running at 100% utilization for 24/7? Will the cpu have a shorter life?

It is always based on hours of use....If you stay just idle you will barely use the chips cycles and thus not cause the gates to open and close and over time those gates will not break down. I still think that the average life is long enough for most peoples effective use...

look at it this way - by the time your CPU dies of old age, you'll be so unused to using 2-D physical consoles and more immersed with 3D holographic control panels and displays using 90 Terrabyte optical crystal storage units.

Instead of a 10Mbps linkup w/ DSL/Cable you'll be connected to the "Hive mind" (internet) using a telepathic converter installed in your brain stem.

Frame rates for video games will be limited only by your imagination.

Half-Life Counter Strike v25.25A will be released, giving you new uniforms to wear and new ammo for your Type 3B Phaser rifles :)
V25.25A corrects the fail-safe mechanism in 25.25 where a detonated spatial anamoly grenade would cause temporary loss of hearing.

actually i would think you can control all games with actual 3D sensors with real action...like those boxing games in the arcades...

haha

So true :)
