100 bucks to burn...at COMPUSA

i've got $100 COMPUSA gift certificate...

i want to use it but everything at my neighborhood COMPUSA is so pricy(when compared with

online venders) there is hardly anything worth buying...

what would you buy if you got 100 bucks good only at COMPUSA???

if there's no expiration date, i'd say hold on to it for awhile, even if compusuck items are pricey, they sometimes have a good deal! or........start stacking up a bunch of cd-r medias. I read prices will go up (about 3X) this summer!

Buy some CDR's or something that's free after rebate. Then you get your $100 to spend on anything and some nice free stuff too.

I had a $50 cert last july for my bday, I picked up 2 50cd spindles, a cd repair kit, and half of half-life (it was $20 then, and IIRC I only had like $10 left on my certificate).

BTW, they can't be cashed AFAIK.
If you buy something with them, the change is given in the form of a new certificate.

So essentially you are stuck with spending the whole thing there. If you really want to cash it out, buy something that you can ebay or sell elsewhere at a close price, you may be able to get most of your money back.
