$100 Amazon promotional certificate when you purchase a cell phone!

When you buy a cell phone and activate a plan of $29.99 or higher with AT&T Wireless, VoiceStream Wireless, or Sprint PCS, Amazon.com will e-mail you a $100 promotional certificate within 8 to 10 weeks of your cell phone purchase. This will be in the form of a promotional code. At the time of your next purchase, simply enter the code into your order form. This offer is valid February 22 through March 11, 2002. Some restrictions apply; see our terms and conditions for details.

this looks like a good deal.
i'm surprise no one responds.

the good combo i see is the att digital wireless 250 + nokia 3360 phone.

A better deal can be found at Circuit City if you're going to buy a Sprint PCS plan. You can get a $50 SPCS rebate and a $100 Circuit City rebate, so basically you're getting the phone free.

$100 cash is probably better to most people than a Amazon certificate

i think the phone (nokia 3360) at amazon is not only free but you also get money back.
it's $23.94 with activation, but there is also a $50 rebate so they pay you $26.06 to take the phone.

<< Too bad all the reasonable voicestream plans require a 1 year contract (going through amazon). >>

who doesn't really require a 1 year plan nowadays? perhaps prepaid ... but from what i heard, prepaid really rips

edit:

anyone know any deals with verizon? do places like amazon or buy.com sell verizon? i'm looking into att or verizon. thanks =)

Don't forget the $50 off $100 coupon on Cellphones and accessories! Can't post coupons on this forum, but I'm sure that you can find a current code if you try.

<< There isn't a current 50 off 100. That's why they're offering the $100 promo certificate instead. >>

Actually there is a new $50 offf Amazon Cell Phone code, but I would not recommend using it unless you are willing to forfeit your $100 Amazon GC since it states the $100 GC is not valid with any other Amazon promotions.

There IS a $50 off $100 coupon available if you look around (it expires 3/31/02).

I could not find anywhere on the $100 GC that states that it is not valid with any other Amazon promotions. Infact I spoke to a CSR @ Amazon.com and I was told that i would be able to use $50 off coupon and still receive $100 Amazon.com GC! 🙂

I would've been all over this if they carried Verizon. I got a cell phone for work today, had to go with Verizon.

I emailed Amazon CS support and they responded stating that these Amazon cell phone promotional offers cannot combined. Since Amazon does not send you the $100 GC for 2-3 months after you purchase your phone, I hope you got the name of the Amazon CSR that told you otherwise.

i don't know.
i did use a $10 off coupon when i got the plan.
however, i do have something other than cell phone in there as well.
however, if you can combine, it really kicks ass.

the worst senario, tell them to charge the $50 and ask for the $100 gc.

Verizon cell service is great in my area. I got 350 minutes + 1800 night/weekend for $29.99 + free Audiovox miniphone (it's cool 🙂 ). Nobody seems to be able to touch that plan with a 10 meter cattleprod.

I would stick with one of the various BB or CC deals instead. Both routinely run deals where you
end up with cash back in your pocket (as does Staples where I got my last phone -- although the
employees there were idiots and screwed up my programming).

I would avoid Amazon like the plague. I got a $10 GC for them back in September. In October
I placed an order and used it. The item showed 1-2 week availability. After numerous delays,
they finally sent me an e-mail early this month saying they couldn't get the item (although one
of their independent suppliers who uses the Amazon site to advertize has it in stock). I ordered
a new item that said it would ship in 1-2 days. I recently got an e-mail telling me they are pushing
it out a month. Amazon just plain sucks. They should be investigated for the worst bait-and-switch
practices ever used.

I spoke to 2 CSRs and both told me that I would receive $100 GC even after applying $50 Coupon! And guess what, I even got them to send me an email about it!!! 😀
