the type of cd's do not make the coaster, its your software and buffer underruns that make a coaster. when will people stop saying I haven't had a coaster with these, if you're burning with several hundred programs then you'll get a coaster, otherwise the media that you use doesn't cause you to make one.

PNY CD-Rs are SUCK! :|
They are horrible.
They are the worst cd-r's I (or everyone I know) has every burned with.
They make many coasters, and the ones that do work are incompatible on many cd-roms.
Buy the kingstons, they are the best I have ever used. And if you look up my thread, you'll find them for cheaper than these.

the media does make a difference as far as compatibility is, that's what i look for. if you can use them for data, as well as audio, psx and dc backups, if they'll read in car players, stereos, etc

Two things about PNY:

Their CDRs are good for the money. Even though they don't play music on my DVD, they play on my regular CD player and CD drives. Never coasted with them

Their rebates are terrible. They're a bunch of cheats and liers.

So if $15 for a 50 pack of CDs is good for you then go for it. But don't expect the mail-in rebate to be worth the agravation.

I have gotten three rebates from PNY two for these disks and one for memory the disk record fine with CDCLONE and NERO on my OTI burner I
have not had good luck with adaptec software any make or model number.
No buffer overruns sinine I replaced it.
The PNY disks do tend to flake on top though It may just be me though.

Most of the time the problem lies with the CD burner, and the CPU activity at the time of burning CD.

I got some Prime peripherals 80Min/700MB CD-R's and I thought I wasted good moolah on these, When I got my new Plextor It is burning them well at the Max speed. I used to have an HP el-crappo before.

I think these PNY's are better than PrimePeri...

This rebate is through best buy. I've never had a problem with these types of rebates. Just keep photocopies of everything you send in for the rebate.
