+4 last night on the treadmill.

Just curious, do you find it harder to run on a treadmill than running outside? By harder, I mean physically. I find that my pace is a good bit slower and I have a hard time getting my desired distance in as well. I am always wrecked the next day after treadmill running also. It seems like it should be easier, but it sure isn't for me.
2.6 miles last night. I hate tapering, it's adding to an already stressful time for me.

Very sorry to hear about your GF.Despite running a marathon on Monday, despite finding out my gf was cheating on me and ending that last night, despite all that, I went out and ran a Christmas themed 10K that my hospital was sponsoring and set a PR of 52:35! Two minutes faster than my previous. It was very therapeutic to say the least.

Thanks. I ran 3 miles today, I wanted to go slow but 9mm was as slow as my legs would carry me. Let's hope I feel that way tomorrow with this cold coming on.Good luck with the trail marathon!

Fantastic! Congrats and happy birthday.Congratulations on the PR, and I'm sorry to hear about the GF. Better to find out now, I suppose, than after you'd married her!
+26.2 today
Finished the Richmond Marathon in 3:19:27, a time which I would not have imagined was even possible for me when I ran this same marathon last year as my first. I'm beyond excited to hit that time, which will also qualify me for Boston in 2015. My wife also finished her first half marathon and it was my birthday. Can't think of a better way to have celebrated it.

Fantastic! Congrats and happy birthday.
My race was an epic failure. I started to get sick on Friday. When I woke up yesterday for the race I was really ill but went anyways. I got thru the first half under my goal time but by mile 9 I was having to work overly hard to keep up the pace. By mile 14 my stomach started to rebel, I turned around at 14.4 and "hot footed" it to the closest restroom where all manners of hell broke loose. I started to pass out on the john but kept myself together long enough to get back to my car where I then passed out. 2 hours later a park ranger found me and was on the verge of calling for assistance. I did manage to drive myself home though and I stayed home from work sick. Not a banner day at all fellas.
14.4 miles though.

Back at it as of today. 4.1 miles with lungs that felt like they were filled with ballistic gel. Felt really weird.
