Started running again. I stopped running a few months ago because of a painful plantars wart. It's been hard getting back into it though. I went about it the wrong way the past few weeks... I was trying to run hard and I'd wear myself out after a 1/2 mile. Now, I've been doing a slow jog, and my endurance is slowly coming back. Been doing 1.5 miles daily at a jogging pace, I plan to up my speed then tackle longer distances soon.

Thankfully the weather is nice... ~60F in the mornings.

10 + 8 + 20 + 8 + 10 + 10 + 10 since I last posted. I'm a slacker, I know. Gotta keep up with this better.

9 very hilly miles tonight. We are under a wind advisory today and the winds at the tops of the hills were over 40mph. It was so bad that we just laughed... Ridiculous. What a workout though, we basically were running uphill the entire time, or so it felt.

10 miles on Friday. Was supposed to so 12 with 2x 3 miles at tempo pace, but the wind was so freaking strong that I was running all-out and basically standing still, so I cut it to only one 3 mile leg. On Saturday, I ran 8 miles easy in the morning, then headed off to the store where one of our employees was running on a treadmill for 24 hours to raise money for heart health. We sold half hour slots to run on a treadmill next to her. Our fastest employee (Olympic marathon trials guy, national masters half marathon champion) ran before me and did 4.95 miles in the 30 minutes. A few friends convinced me I could beat that, so after a 7:00 mile warmup, I cranked it to 5:30 pace and kept it there until the end when I dropped it to 5:00 pace for a few minutes just to make sure I would beat it. Ended up with 5.00 miles exactly in the 30 minutes. Today I ran 15 miles pretty easy. So 10 + 13 + 15 = 28.

9 hilly road miles yesterday before we got 8 inches of snow dumped on us. I hate winter, please let it end soon. I miss my trails...

10 yesterday, 5 today. Supposed to do 10 today as well, but its a freaking blizzard out there! We have about 6-8" of snow with crazy winds blowing it all over the place so visibility is maybe 100m. I wore my Stabilicers and was still slipping all over the place. It was kind of fun!

3 mile warmup
10K race in 35:58 (PR, 2nd overall, and 1st runner doing the race series. This means I won the series overall!)
3 mile cooldown

so 12 miles-ish.

Been lurking here for a long time, so I thought I'd contribute. Been training for my first marathon. 512 miles since November 22. Nice geeky number (2^9).
