If you want to make the most of your running experience consider doing trail runs/races. 😉

Alas, there aren't many trails around here. I would absolutely love to do that. The only reason I've taken up some distance running again is Davis' beautiful scenery. There's trees, roads, parks, green absolutely everywhere. There are some places I could trail-run, but I typically try to save driving for necessity nowadays. It's all bike and bus for me 🙂

Well, today was 1:26:30 ish for the 13 miles, so that's 6:39-6:40 per mile (14.5km/h). Pretty standard for my aerobic runs.

My recovery runs are about 7:00 - 7:10/mile, (13.8-13.5 km/h) and my long runs are about 6:45 - 6:50/mile (14.3-14.1 km/h)

For tempo runs, marathon pace is 6:00-6:05/mile (16.1-15.9 km/h) and half-marathon pace is about 5:45/mile (16.8 km/h).

(Thank you Google for doing the calculations 😛)

Woot! I can only dream of reaching your speeds. Nice job.

4 mile shakeout this morning and then a toasty Tuesday tempo run tonight 😛.

5 miles at 1/2 marathon pace. A bit inconsistent and I probably went a bit too hard but I was feeling jacked. Had to miss my Sunday long run/tempo because of sickness so my legs were unusually fresh. Went 5:45, 5:37, 5:52, 6:02, 5:49. 10 miles for the run.

I have to drive to the trails too SC. But I enjoy doing it so much that the drive is worth it to me.

Yeah, I envy you your trails. I wish I'd been a runner back when I lived in CA.

Yeah, I ran part of the Davis bike loop today. It's really nice. It takes you through a really quiet area with some covert parks. I liked it quite a bit. I'll definitely go for a beach run or two when I'm home for spring break. That'll probably be the closest I get to a trail run, sadly. Thanks for the resources though. I'll check those out the next time I'm on a road trip/driving by. Might need to stop for a workout break 🙂

+3. I twisted my ankle last week so I avoided running and stuck to the elliptical machine for a week, everything feels like it's back to normal now though.

We did a piddlin' 4 miles tonight. Only 4 for my boy and I but a LONG 4 for my daughter. She's back to running with us and the snow was very hard for her.

8 miles today. I'd like to take this opportunity to welcome back the sunshine and pleasant breezes. You have both been missed.

Yeah, the weather is amazing today! After our run, Ashlie and I went to the gym and were walking around outside in just shorts and t-shirts and were completely comfortable! I did 7 miles today; I thought that was enough to get me to 60 but I must have slacked off during the week because it only got me to 58. Oh drat!
