8 miles in -5 windchill again. Even more epic beardsicle today. Posted a picture on FB for all my friends to witness in its cold crusty glory. :D;

2 on the treadmill this afternoon.
Because of the holidays and shitty weather I have been slacking.
Yes I realize that makes no damn sense, but its the only excuse I've got. I felt like shiat for the past few weeks and couldnt even muster the energy to get some local exercise.

Scorch, that is a bad ass beardsicle. I am clean shaven most days so the best I get is a saltmask and a salt crown in my hat.

The temp is supposed to be in the 20s tomorrow so I should be able to get a run in. I just can't do the teens yet, I need better gear.

14 today. single digits again but I dressed a bit too well actually and was actually fairly warm during it. Felt good too; when I wasn't slipping and sliding in the snow, I was going at a decent pace.

Hey guys, I've been a bit out of it over the holidays, struggling with a TFL/ITB injury. After working with a physio and my trainer over the past few weeks, I think I finally have it under control.

I've done just a few runs so far in 2010, so I'll figure out my mileage for those and post again this weekend.

Great to see everyone still givin' er.

Don't feel too badly IB. I've been slacking lately due to work and family issues. My wife severely fractured her foot last Saturday and is going in for surgery this coming Monday. She can't function without help so it's hard to get away for a run on my off time when I'm away so long due to work as it is.

And yet I'm already officially committed to 3 races this year, 2 of which are 50 milers. I'd better get myself in gear or it's gonna be a miserable race season.

8 miles in deep snow on my local trail. Felt more like 12 or 13, my groin muscles and nuts hurt. :(

nice going, Mega! I did 4 whole miles today on the treadmill! I didnt have much time as the girl and I did a bunch of wedding-related stuff today, like sampling all sorts of terrific food at the caterer's!

Did you pick one yet? How about a menu?

Dude, you get a beardsicle, I had sweatsicles hanging from my hat today. It was completely badass I have to say.

38.5 km this week. Next week will probably be much less as I will be away at a conference. Anyone run on the Chicago lakefront often? I'm expecting it to be nippy :)

Hey Mega, yeah we picked the caterer and decided on the menu yesterday. It should be a damn good feast. :) Way to go on the sweatsicles, too! It definitely does make you feel completely badass.

I did 15 miles today with a few of my friends. They are all faster than me (like 15-minute 5Kers) so the pace was hot but manageable until about 12 miles. Then they dropped down the 6:20-6:30 pace and the last mile was up a hill so I just let them go and jogged in on my own. It was 0 with a -15 windchill but I felt pretty good. A few of us were rocking the beardsicles B)

Exactly 60 miles for me since Jan 1.

Had a solid 15.5 mile Sunday run with my buddies yesterday and I'm feeling better with every run.

3 yesterday, 4 today with 4x800s integrated. Hit 2:50s which is pretty good considering it was on a snowy/icy path.
