No, flying in from Virginia on Friday. Temps into the 70's will be a nice change of pace!!
It's supposed to be nice here in Central Florida this weekend, enjoy near perfect race/vacation conditions.
I did 7 leisurely miles around the lake this evening to chill out. Never mind the training plan. lol
battling back from a sickness, my all time low in over 6 months
+3.5 on Monday
gonna shoot for an 8.5 mph pace today see if I can get a 7 miler in tonight.
Ok guys, y'all can start calling me gramps as of 5PMish EST today. My first grandchild was born today.
Forgot to post my 10K from tonight.
Great news! Congrats old man! Though you're probably in better shape then most grandpa's haha.
Thanks, her name is Ariel Jamie. Middle name is for my recently deceased father, first name as The Little Mermaid is my daughter's favorite movie of all time. lol
Congratulations! Enjoy your grandchild!!
Add 7 miles for me in the last 4 days. Just starting out training again in the last few weeks. Doing Warrior Dash and Tough Mudder this summer. Already have dropped 4.5 pounds in 1.5 weeks. Feeling pretty good while doing it as well.
A virus got me this past week. First run today, 5 miles. Blew snot rockets everywhere. Cleared out the sinuses though.
6 miles tonight, ran a bit faster than I have the past few times.
Haven't added mileage here in a while but for the week.
7.5 and 7.5
8 miles today in the fog. More snot rockets.
15.3 miles on the trails this afternoon, good heat training for the upcoming race season. 82 and sunny here in central Florida today.
10 miles this morning. It was hot and a bit humid but so nice out.
+7 with a cold and all.
+10 Nice wearing shorts in Boston in January.
5 recovery miles. Hey Mega, I'm going to be stuck in Jacksonville next week. What's the weather like this time of the year?
The weather is amazing, drteming. I wonder if a forum meetup/run is called for? I'm not running fast these days, but I can run 9 to 10 min miles for a long ways.
ps - I live in a 'burb of Orlando.
That would be cool, however, I'm going to be at a training course that runs all day M-F and a half day on Saturday. I was hoping to be able to run around the hotel at night if the area is ok. Otherwise, I'll be on the treadmill.
Ahhh, I see. Maybe next time then.
10K this morning before work. Not a bad way to wake up.
Probably not a good idea as I think I'm coming down with the flu, 7.25 tonight
6 miles this morning
Jeez, I just realized I haven't posted since Christmas Eve! I have ran 247 miles since then. Ran a 10K last Saturday and came away with a small, 4-second PR of 35:54. Still a long way from where it should be (it is by far my weakest PR) but any PR is a good thing!
If I'd known you were so close to Orlando, I'd have said hi! I just got in from Disney last night. Great weather you all are having. Back home in VA, we're looking at upper 30's and a winter storm warning this evening. I'm missing Florida already! Anyway, the Goofy Challenge is done!
+13(.1) on Sat.
+26(.2) on Sun.
And congrats to Scorch on the PR! Nice work! You're right, a PR is a PR! I'll take one any day.
