8 miles this morning in the cold rain, just a bit over 7:30 pace. Gonna spend the rest of the day watching football, drinking beer and eating beef jerky.

13.5 miles with the Tampa Bay Trail Runners today, pace was a bit slower than usual but the trails were a bit more technical and it was fun to run with other people for a change. I'll round down today.

44 miles for me since I last posted. Ran a 5-miler in 28:32, a good first race post-marathon.

5 miles with my son Ryan tonight, first time we've run together since I moved to Florida in March. We had a great run together.

It's usually a great run with the kids, eh? My son and I were literally about to head out the front door when the skies opened up and a steady rain started. I've run in the rain before, but not when it's 40 degrees out. So it was the dreadmill for us. Sigh . . . At least the weekend forecast looks good for some long runs. I can't wait for the rest of the kids to get old enough to do runs with me.

Yeah, I love running with my kids. I have 3, and for about 2 years I was getting weekly trail runs with all of them and my eldest would run with me every day. Those times were magical when I look back on them.

This weekend I'll go trail running with both of my sons, that will be pretty awesome. They won't go as long as I will, but the first 10 miles will be fun.

15 miles with my son, Ryan. The guy hasn't run more than 6 miles at a time this year and then just bangs out a run like this today. We ran fast too, for trails. 8:38 pace that included two side trips and slowed us down but didn't get counted in our mileage. What a beast.

10k recovery run this morning. Felt really good, and it was cold out. 37F, had to wear the hat and gloves today.

Another 44 here. Ran 14+ mile with some friends yesterday on the snow-covered canal path in sub-7:00 pace, and now my hip flexor is bugging me. Stupid fast jerks!
