I think I have had this for atleast 10 years. I was using a router hardwired to multiple pcs and wireless and i still go the same intermitent lag.
Maybe every 10 - 15 minutes I get it.
I also have the more better cable connection between the modem and wall.
the computer iam using is a

Hi Hujioun,

hmm, a decade is very old for a cable modem--capacitors can degrade over time.

Intermittent problems, though, could be anywhere along the internet chain. It could be your internet service provider is causing the intermittent slowdowns.

Have you contacted your ISP to have them test your connection?

Also, since you are on cable, you are subject to slowdowns depending on who else is on your same trunk line, and what they are doing. The intermittent slowdowns could be someone else near use sucking up bandwidth.

You did not describe your "intermittent lag", exactly what happens....is it high pings, or slow upload and download speeds?

Well i ge teh lag during both times

When iam browing the net it takes a long while for the page to upload
when iam playing the game its still receiving packets but on a extremley delaed rate. sometimes 10 to 20 seconds,
on teh game i have pings of say 120-600 at diffrent times and thats on both us and german servers

I have not contacted the Isp but I do think that a very good possiblity could be peopel around me sucking up all this since theres pretty much only 1 dsl provider where i live.
