Darryl Wu, 10, of Washington State, took the college-entrance exam for fun late last year when his older brother took the test.

"Seventh and eight graders can start taking the SAT," Darryl Wu said. "So my brother is in seventh grade, so I was wondering how I would do."

The younger brother scored a perfect 800 on the math section of the test.

Just for perspective the average high school senior's math score was 518.

There was no word on how the seventh-grade brother did.

Darryl's room is filled with advanced books and science magazines. Reading is a favorite past time.

Darryl's immediate plan is to graduate from fifth grade and maybe he'll be taking the SAT again with a goal of getting perfect scores in reading and writing.

So, if x is less than 1 and the square root of x divided by x to the third power equals x to the power of m... what is the value of m?

C'mon ATOT. Don't be beaten by a 10 year old.

Heh, I think I know a couple people in real life that probably could've scored a full 800 on the math section of the SAT when they were 10...

The SAT doesn't have much math beyond what we were taught in 9th grade. It's really not that big of an accomplishment.

Still the average high school senior scores only a 518. Is the school system really that sad?

The impressive part is he didn't mess up a question or 2. Plenty of people who know all the stuff, but not many can write test well.

I got a 750 in the math portion, I think I only missed two questions.

...the verbal I got a 520 though, which was just barely above average. I suck at English.

Bingo. The math section of the SAT is incredibly easy.

The verbal isn't that hard either.

Yeah, but they aren't testing your knowledge in verbal, they're testing your ability to deal with useless and confusing orientation of words. But I do have to agree about the math, it's easy if you've been prepared well in any sense.
