Note they also have this same tablet refurb but with a 32gb ssd for $419.00 before coupon which will bring the price down to $293.30. I didn't think 32gb ssd was enough so I went with the 64gb ssd for $35 dollars more.

They also have a refurb with an active wacom digitzer (do not chose essentials for these lack active digitizer, I picked one without an active digtizer, then look for the one with stylus in the description) for $495 which would be $346.50 after coupon

Are there any tablets that can boot from a USB thumb drive? Also which ones can add memory via a thumb drive or SDXC card? Lastly can you add memory to boost the performance of the tablet in the way that Ready Boost from Windows can accept a USB drive to act like added RAM?

Not 100% sure about booting from the USB drive, because that can vary with the firmware/UEFI options, but any Win 8 tablet should be able to do all of those things if it has a SD card slot like the Latitude 10. The only issue with Win 8/RT is that the Metro apps for the Start Screen generally can't use the memory card for storage unless you do some hacking to make the system think it is non-removable storage, which is just a really stupid design decision.
