personally i've never liked using magnetic tools on a PC. It's probably over cautious but hey why not.

10. IC Insertion-Extraction Clipper

I bought a repair kit from Newegg a while back which has one of these and they seem to be in most kits. But I can't think of an instance when a normal computer nerd would use one. It seems like such a niche item to include in an otherwise generic kit. But perhaps I'm missing something.

I may or may not use them for grabbing screws that I drop inside laptops and other tight spaces

I had one of these before, all the tools have migrated away.

Time for a new one. 8D

I never bought one of these just because I have all the tools I need lying around in various places, but wow. $10 might convince me I could use this. Great deal!

I always use magnetic tools on a PC. What will the weak magnetism in a screwdriver damage in a modern PC? HDD? You ever play with magnets out of a HDD? They are around 100000000000000000x more powerful than a magnetic screwdriver.

I used this for something not all that long ago, but I cannot remember for what. Maybe replacing a bios with a new one after a bad flash... Anyways, the IC extractor used to be useful, but these days most things are soldered. I think I have like 5 of these kits that I've acquired over the years, and not one set is complete.
