10% off previously played games @ EB

I was in EB last night buying an Xbox ... and the saleperson asked if I wante to subscibe to a new gaming magazine called GMR. The price for 10 months was $10 and you get an EB edge card which gives you 10% off previously played games and hardware for the 10 months you have subscription.

if you try a search on google, you'll find that there are 15% and 20% coupons off used games for their website.

EB has had various card options for years. Over 5 years ago I think I got it, ONCE. Wasn't worth it, it was like $40 for a card that gave you %10 off for one year, and ONE hardware purchase with %10 off. But a card for $10 might be.

yea i signed up for this when i went in for buffy, serious sam, and terminator. signed up got the free 10 mos of GMR mag and card. oh and saved like $2!

i bought the gamestop card and got my moneys worth since the 10% basically takes off tax since i went on a n64 buying spree about a month ago
eb never mentioned that they had a card to me
gamestop seems to try and mention it every chance they get

I love my GameSpot card. The EB's in my area don't ever have good used games. The GameSpot seems to have multiples of used games.

the gamestop* at my mall has lots of used games...that's because they are only $5 cheaper than the regular price... EB has better deals by me, this is a pretty good deal.

How did you save $2? I thought the discount was only off used stuff.

BTW everyone it's GameStop, unless Gamespot opened up stores that I don't know about. Sorry, it's been buggin me.

How do you find out about their sales? Going in store or flyers? They don't have any in the malls near me (all standalone, special trip stuff). Sweet deal on MP!

no need to do a search. the coupons are advertised directly off of ebgames.com

over here they every other week they send out flyers and if you dont get one in the sunday paper the stores normally have them
i've bought most of my n64 games from gamestop cause of those sales

I know it's hard to believe, but the magazine is actually good. No too many ads, and decent reviews. A lot of the staff are EGM alumni.

I bought it anyway, as I buy well over $100 of p/o merchandise a year, making it advantageous for me to do so. The mag is a nice bonus tho.
