I have an unemployed friend who is making $1k a week selling ... stuff?... in mafia wars. I dunno anything about mafia wars, never played it. But he is making that much cash from the game.

it is possible. hell, when i was taking advantage of the duping glitch, i was duping Lotto pieces in MW and selling sets of them for $30.. it's like i was printing my own money. sadly, they fixed the glitch and i don't have time to play 10 accounts a day to keep up.

i'm sure there are other game breaking glitches out there that people are using.

They're just more people for me to troll on Facebook. I did have it blocked for a while, but when I realized that the only enjoyable thing about Facebook is trolling (what? DrPizza a troll??!), I unblocked it.

Now, I comment in people's garbage posts all the time. "Help, I need 5 boards, 3 bricks and 2 nails to complete my barn."
"Just stop by, I have a pile of boards in the barn that you can pick through. Anyone want to help plant the crops in my field? OHHHHhhhh, wait a second, you mean for pretend! You're pretending to have a farm! And begging for pretend materials too! How cute."

I don't think trolling means what you think it means.

I'd like to know the stats on those numbers... I'll bet that at least 75% of the people who are listed as users who "play" Farmville haven't played in months, and half of the Farmville addicts who are left over have multiple accounts.

Hell... when I worked for an Internet gaming company, I remember we bragged about having over 2 million user accounts... but what we didn't say is that 90% of them were inactive and most of our users had multiple accounts. Since the accounts were free, people would just sign up for a new one if they forgot their password. Just to show what BS the numbers were, we knew that the system would crash if more than 10,000 of them would try logging on at the same time. If we REALLY had 2 million users, our infrastructure would have been screwed.

My wife has an aunt that has multiple fake accounts just to play farmville. She even used her dead husband's name for one of the accounts. When my wife messaged her to joke about it her aunt unfriended her.

Farmville is serious business.
