What we can learn from this is that women belong in the kitchen, FRD is the sole reason for the national debt, sex is evil, darwin is evil, nader is evil, secular humanism is very evil, and of course, Allah Akbar.

enjoy.

Other than the books representing Chinese and German fascism, this list makes it look like conservative scholars aren't particularly bright. (Edit - and I mean for what they represent, not that the printed words are dangerous)

I choose to believe this was a rather badly chosen polling sample.

Ahahaha...that's great stuff. I like how Keynes, arguably one of the best economists in recent history, made the list because of his ideas that apparently caused our debt. I shall assume that the people reviewing his work were expert economists. No? Oh well.

Seriously though, books and ideas aren't harmful. Actions are harmful. There is a huge difference.

Keynes:
Sometimes government can help the economy by spending more, even if it creates a deficit.

Politicians:
Spend more all the time? Alright!!!

Well, but even those books representing fascism...how are they, by themselves, harmful? Surely most people can entertain such views without being affected by them.

Exactly, we can't blame Keynes for politicians inability to read and understand.

Where is the Korean on that list? Also notice that most of the authors or books have German Names (Nazi).

I do wonder...will the poeple that argue the Communist Manifesto caused Stanlinist totalitarianism and purges also argue that the Bible caused the Inquisition and the Crusades?

Because I've read the CM... but I suppose I missed the parts about secret police and large states...

No 10 General Theory of Employment, Interest and Money
Author: John Maynard Keynes

When the business cycle threatens a contraction of industry, and thus of jobs, he argued, the government should run up deficits, borrowing and spending money to spur economic activity.

Sounds like the policy of our current administration & the other republican great Reagan.

1) It's not Korean. It's Koran, or even better Qur'an.
2) It was not written in the 20th or 19th century.
3) No book is dangerous.
4) No book is dangerous.
5) No book is dangerous.

You're supposed to pay down those debts when the contraction turns to expansion. Unfortunately, most western nations have baseline government spending too high to effectively use this policy tool. (i.e. it would require very high taxes, all of the time, quite likely reaching a level with serious economic consequences of their own).

That just a jibe at how the list seems to denounce anything even remotely anti-religion. I.E, see entries 5, 8 and 9.

That's what I said - they aren't harmful, but I can see how an emotional response to them might get them included on such a list.

The whole concept of 'harmful books' really doesn't exist outside of strongly social conservative circles.

This has already been addressed, and your smarmy innuendo refuted, in the other two Kinsey threads. That you continue to spread this disinformatiom, knowing full well you are being dishonest, shows just how hateful and un-Christian you are. You can go to Hell, Rip, and I mean that most literally.

By sexually abusing small children. This abuse also made them homosexual proponents of Darwinism, who outspokenly support Das Kapital on secular college campuses that you pay for!!! HAAHAHAHAHA!!!

George W. Bush hasn't written a book? Was there some kind of requirement that you actually know a language to be able to make this list?

We covered this in another thread. Rip knows the answer but he is feigning ignorance to feed his trolling habit.

Havent even got past #1 and #2 and I see two books that were written by people that caused revolutions which cost about 100 million lives in a single war and countless millions during peace.

I dont think you have to be a crazy rightie to agree with that.
