10 Monitors powered by 1 pc?

So, I was gifted an old batch (10) of 17'' LCD monitors. I was *hoping* it might be possible to attach them all to the same computer. Is this possible?

Anyone know How I could set that up? I'm thinking 1 AGP vid Card with 2 outputs + 4 PCI cards with 2 outputs would do the trick but i have no idea....

Anyone ever use many monitors like this before?

Let me know

Thansk!

one one i can think of that -might- have something like that would be matrox. although, the last i recall, they only had something that could run 4 at one time... but that was a couple years ago

Get a board like this, put in two PCIE cards, and three PCI 6200s (from my sig, currently will have to wait a few weeks for them to come back into stock) and you'll have support for 10 displays.
Or 3 PCIE cards and 2 PCI cards.

Thats how I would do it. But I wouldnt use 10 CRTs, that would draw so much power. I'd rather have 2-4 LCDs or 1 or 2 widescreen LCDs.

why would you want 10 to be connected to the same computer???

what's the point??

juts think of the electric bills you'll be paying

Or, I'll make it simpler. Give me and three other people two of them, and we can all just stick with dual LCDs. 😀

dont they do this at CompUSA? Im pretty sure at the one I visit sometimes that all the monitors are displaying the exact same thing.

edit: I guess having every monitor show the same thing dosnt really help you. My bad. 😱p

I was operating under the assumption he actually wanted 10 unique displays, not to show the same image on 10 monitors. If you just want to show the same feed on a bunch of displays (like they do at Compusa, etc.), there are multiplier boxes you can get that will take one VGA input and give you a bunch of VGA outputs showing the same thing.
