The Vatican on Tuesday issued a set of ?Ten Commandments? for drivers.

The ?Drivers? Ten Commandments,? as listed by the document, are:

1. You shall not kill.

2. The road shall be for you a means of communion between people and not of mortal harm.

3. Courtesy, uprightness and prudence will help you deal with unforeseen events.

4. Be charitable and help your neighbor in need, especially victims of accidents.

5. Cars shall not be for you an expression of power and domination, and an occasion of sin.

6. Charitably convince the young and not so young not to drive when they are not in a fitting condition to do so.

7. Support the families of accident victims.

8. Bring guilty motorists and their victims together, at the appropriate time, so that they can undergo the liberating experience of forgiveness.

9. On the road, protect the more vulnerable party.

10. Feel responsible toward others.

My Top Ten (feel free to add:

1.) Slow driver should stay the f*ck out of the left lane.

2.) Don't talk on the cellphone while driving (at least use a hands free unit).

4.) If a bicyclist insists on driving in the road, they shall be bound to the same rules as vehicle traffic, including, but not limited to: stopping for red lights and stop signs, signalling before making lane changes or turning, turning from the correct lane, and staying right so faster traffic may pass.

5.) If traffic has backed up behind you to five cars or more, pull over and let them pass, you are driving too slow.

6.) Drunk drivers shall be imprisoned for not less than one year. Drunk drivers who are involved in an accident shall be required to pay all medical expenses and punitive damages, as well as being jailed for at least one year. Drunk drivers who take a life shall be either imprisoned for life or killed.

Umm that is a law.
I'm all for cycling, and was once one myself too. Have many friend a that are still and I worked in a bikeshop for many years of my life. However I HATE cyclists that scream "I'm a motorist! I have rights!" Then pick and choose the rules they want.

And don't even get me started on people that ride bikes on the sidewalk.....
