The network in a friends auto shop stopped working. Now all the mechanics have to jam into the front desk area to bill and print the work (the server is under the desk as are the three printers). It's a 10-baseT over coax. Then I found out morale was boosted:D by occasional downloading of educational photos :p using AOL 6 to connect to the internet:frown:. They deleted the AOL folder in an attempt to cover up:Q.
Now should I leave them all jammed:) at the front desk:D or is there a way to get the network back up. Any suggestions would be appreciated.;)

First try uninstalling the NIC (network adapter), restart and then reinstall the NIC.

Herr, are you saying that AOL has to be reinstalled? [hissssssss] Just delete any references to AOL and it's adapters in the network properties. Then make sure that the Nic is properly configured to acces the server. Any protocols that were deleted by AOL also need to be brought back.

Once AOL 6 is properly installed, you can go into the NIC's properties and put back TCP/IP for it. If they just deleted the AOL 6 folder, like within Program Files, you will need to either reinstall it or uninstall it and then reinstall it (if you really want it on there)
