10.5

I know "made for TV" movies are typically crap anyways but this one just looks terrible. Having lived in Seattle my whole life I have been hearing about the "big one" since I was in kindergarten. I mean, how many people on the West Coast live in fear of this happening? And I am not sure if everyone gets the same commercial but seeing the Space Needle tipping over five times a day is getting tiresome. It started out kind of funny now it is just lame. I am not even sure if the Space Needle can fall like they are showing on TV. The thing is just as tall underground as it is above ground. Anyways, it's not like we can really prepare for the "big one" a 10.5 would level Seattle. The tidal waves a lone would be devastating.

The coast wouldn't get tidal waves if the quake originates on land like they say it will - but maybe east Asia would get a surprise.

Why don't you wait till it airs first before calling it a POS ?

Come on this looks worse than "Volcano." I am getting sick of all these natual disaster movies. But who knows maybe I will be surprised but I really doubt it.

Volcano was a good movie, STFU!!

I like a good disaster movie, but most of the ones that Hollywood has been cranking out in the last few years have been sh*t.

The Day After Tomorrow looks cool though.

I'm sick of all the commercials for it already... I'll be glad when it finally airs and they can stop hyping it up like it is the Passion of Christ for geologists!

Anymore that I am missing

No list of cinematic disasters would be complete without:

The Postman
Ishtar
Gigli
Waterworld
Heaven's Gate

Tell me, what's the point of a commercial?

I believe they are so that the viewer can formulate an opinion about a certain show before it airs, preferably a positive opinion, so that they watch it. In this case, the commercials have generated the opinion that this is another terrible, terrible show.
