I knew we would hit this point eventually...where you can't go smaller on a laptop without going to touch keys or something, which would be useless because tactile input is where it's at. Although Razer invented low-profile mechanical keys for their iPad Pro keyboard:

The 6th-gen Intel chips are powering some really neat devices...it will be interesting to see the next few generations of chips & laptops as we start getting 12-hour battery life on something thinner than a pencil!
