10.4 era iPhoto and iMovie on 10.6

Is there a way to do this? It fails to install when I try.... Is there a way to extract the .apps out of the DVDs?

I doubt so.. you're probably using the PPC discs and not the Universal versions, if there even was a Universal version created. Is this iLife '06? I think that was the only one that had Universal binaries.

Pretty sure it's Intel based since it's a Intel Mac.

Pacifist may be able to extract the applications, but I don't have a copy of iLife 06 to test it with.

It fails? Does it say why? I think I still have 06 running on my MacBook, that has since been upgraded to 10.6

Wouldn't it still be able to run via Rosetta? It'd be slower, but I think it would still run.
