I remember years ago I spent a few days in St. Louis. It was 95 temp and 95% humidity. I spent the whole time nights in an air conditioned bar, and literally could not see the mirror in the bathroom for all the bugs. I couldn't get out of there fast enough.
Id take Furnace Creek at 125 over St. Louis anyday.

Heh, I remember one day last year here in Biloxi it was 106F with 98% humidity.
Boy that sucked. As for 17% humidity, I get unconfortable if the humidity drops
below about 70%!
