For if anyone is going, stories, news, commentary (shudder), etc.

Public Citizen had a contest for slogans to have on signs there, I liked these:

Separation of Corporation and State (Elizabeth, North Carolina)

We, the People NOT We, the Corporations (Alan, Colorado)

It’s a Democracy, Not an Auction (Eric, Washington)

How about:
Separation of Unions and State?

Sure, because unions - which represent workers, a lot closer to the public than the owners - with their what, 7% of donations compared to many times that amount by the owners, are such an oppressive force in our democracy, with their agenda of a strong middle class and decent wages and such. Let's get rid of them and go back to the good old days of mass poverty pre-union.

B-b-but Unions is a lie the right uses to try to hide the massive corruption of our corporate interests in our politicals system destroying our democracy by falsely claiming that the 7% unions are an equal counter interest making it 'fair and balanced' - as if the vast majority who are workers deserve the same representation as the top 2% even if it was equal.

Well of course that's what I want. Me the rich land baron and you the serf.

In for a penny, in for a pound. Get corps and unions out. You don't get to keep your pet group. If they were giving mostly Rebub, you'd change your tune anyway.

I am local and have friends that are going but I don't think I will go. The crowd that event will bring in is likely not going to be as well behaved as the Tea Party rallies.

Will try to catch the highlights on TV though.

Did you have a point by rehashing the information here that's not in question?

Yes, money out would be for corporations and unions.

You think a Rally to Restore Sanity will have a crowd that's not "as well behaved as the Tea Party rallies"?? Are you familiar at all with the purpose of the rally?

Craig doesn't really have a tune, it's more pink noise centered about the glorious march of Marxist. LOL

Jabber will show up with his friends to make sure the voter registration fraud kept out in the open.

If I didn't have major surgury this week I would have flown in for this and shot some footage for a documentary I am collaborating on..

My sign would say...

Hello? It's put together by Stewart & Colbert, the purpose of the rally is for ratings and for comedy.

LOL! If I change my mind and go (I may be downtown for other reasons) I will print that out and carry it proudly! See if you can spot me on TV when I rush the stage!

There are demonstrations and rallies here all the time. I generally make a point of avoiding them as parking becomes impossible to find and the lefty ones are prone to property damage and trashing.

I hope the kooks, the semi-normal, the absolutely normal and the super-normal people coming to the Stewart/Colbert event have a great time. Please pick up your trash! :awe:

Make sure you rush the stage in a violent-looking hustle waiving your hands around shoving as much things as you can in the face of Stewart & Colbert.

Then after someone prevents you from reaching the two, go on a media tour proclaiming your purely honorable intentions, and the rights granted to you by the constitution! Oh, and demand apologies from everyone!

I am regularly in the neighborhood of the Shakespeare Theatre Company's Sidney Harman Hall where Stewart is taping his show this week.

Maybe I should just try to shove the sign into Stewart's face as his limo tries to drive him to the event? Hopefully his security is lax and he keeps the limo windows rolled down.

Naaaah. I'm not on Moveon.org's payroll as a community agitator. I don't do anything for free. :awe:
