Whos got info, what are the options? I think "gaming" should be at least GT540/630 or 66xx/76xx. These cards offer a significant enough boost over integrated or low end cards that they should be able to play any game 30FPS (if at low settings), though GT555/650 & 67xx/77xx or better would be preferred.
Personally Im looking for something closer to a 14" gaming laptop, but I figure maybe we can put together a list of the current options in smaller sizes as well. Ideally Id like something with a fast 35W CPU and a GT650M or better (prefer GDDR5) with a 1600x900 res or better. Decent build quality and temps at 80C or less...for $800 or less. That new Clevo is dang close, if it were a 14" chasis (w/ higher res) it could run cooler...to bad.
Anywho, heres the list I have so far...anybody else know other options? Ill add them to the list.
Alienware M11x 11" screen 13x7 w/ 13" body $700+ used
Discontinued but last R3 had ULV Sandy Bridge and GT540M
Temps 75C 6+hrs internet with 60WHr battery
Clevo’s W110ER 11" 13x7 $800+
Ivy Bridge Quad with GT650M (DDR3)
Temps 90C (no throttling?) 5hr internet w/ 60WHr
possible dual core options may lower temps
If anybody sees a review with a dual core let me know.
Acer had a 13" 13x7 laptop
2410 SNB with GT540M
I don't know if that model still exists, what the model number is or other specs
HP Envy? Anybody know whats going on with the Envy line?
Theyve got 4's 6's 14's Spectres (and the big 15's 17's) I dunno WTF?!
Sony Vaio VPC-SA 13" 16x9 $900+
Dual SNB i5-i7 & 6630M (OC w/ trixx)
Temps 90C loud 4.5hrs int w/ 50WHr
Alienware M14X 14" 13x7 or 16x9 $1100+
Quad IVB & GT650M (GDDR5)
Temps 85C last I saw, single LOUD fan.
Perhaps a dual IVB could help in temp/noise.
5hrs int w/ 60WHr
