Hmm, for $10 maybe I should get it. I should let my brother know; he was interested in picking it up too but I don't remember if he was planning on waiting until it hit $10 or $5.

I'll probably pick this up. I didn't buy it at release because of poor reviews, but for only $10, it should be a fun romp.

Proof that unless it's a very popular multiplayer title, you only have to wait a few months and you'll get the game for much, much cheaper.

Oh and by the way, Duke Nukem Forever "Early Access" club members get the new DLC for free. Basically, those who pre-ordered the game, or who own Borderlands on Steam (ANY version of Borderlands, not just the GOTY edition) will get the DLC for free.

If it wasn't a piece of crap, it would take a bit longer. You can see many single player games that still hold some value on steam and are much older than DNF. DNF is the MoO3 of FPS or Daikatana of this decade.

What exactly makes DNF junk? Would someone who enjoys crude humor be able to salvage some fun out of it?

I bought in on it yesterday. I have paid more for crappier games, besides I could use a nostalgia trip.

If you like Duke's humor you'll find a fair amount of humor. I enjoyed the game for what it was, didn't expect much from it and overall was fine. Some of the stuff just makes you lol, like slapping tits on the alien walls and his comments about it.

Don't buy it just for the humor. When you play it, you'll see there's actually a decent shooter in there too.

I played the demo and wasn't impressed enough with the game play to buy it at $10 -- it's a $5 game at best for me.

The guns felt weak, and I didn't notice the alien models reacting to hits. The aliens also seemed to float or glide over terrain instead of running naturally. Maybe I'm spoiled by Borderlands, but combat felt much worse. Actually, it seemed worse than everything else I've played in the last couple of years - HL2, Vampire: Bloodlines, Bioshock, even Crackdown 1 on my 360.

I'm enjoying it so far. I like the humor and I miss these kinds of games. I missed Duke and this game so far is a lot of fun.

I'm undecided on this one... Duke Nukem 3D was one of the first shooters I ever played...
