I know that 10/100 NICS can be used on a 10 or 100 Mbps network.

BUT, will a 10 Mbps NIC work on a 100 Mbps network?

A strictly 10 Mbps device will not work on a strictly 100Mbps network. If you have a 10/100 autosensing swtich or hub, the 10 only device will be fine......
