OMG You gotta love a guy with that much determination. And speaking of someone always being on Ebay and these forums, How did You come about finding this Ebay listing, and then posting it here? Sounds like you two have much in common. LOL
Just raggin on ya, that was a cute post. But 41.00 WOW! Is that for real?
I guess Ill get mine the old fashion way and throw a party when I hit 100.

Let see, if I had a standing offer of .01 @ WU I could spend $50,000 and be the #1 Team in the World......and never analysis a WU. :Q

you should never bid on anything on e-bay that you want
until the last minute of the auction... you're just driving up
the final price.

.....not that i'd ever buy work units.... but that's another issue.

i don't have anything against people who do.

Not necessarily.. sometimes you can't be there at the last minute so putting in a proxy bid beforehand works quite well. ;) Additionally, the seller may take note of my recent auction wins and offer to sell the item to me for x price instead of letting the auction finish naturally - something eBay now allows for. :)

Once you all get done buying up all these WUs, let me know if you have any money left over. I've got some beachfront property in Idaho for sale!

Aren't we losing sight of the purpose of the Seti At Home project? We are looking for a Signal that is not static from somewhere in the universe. Spending our money on already analyzed Work Units is not helping the project. Geez.

Hate to ruffle feathers here but that is my opinion.

It would really be a stretch to make a claim that establishing a cash value or market value for old WUs would encourage people to start running SETI At HOME or to increase their production capacity.
