My dear friends,
about a year ago on May 29th 2006 my physics teacher told me about SETI and SETI@Home. I was immediately facinated by the idea of connecting computers over the internet, being a computer/technology/internet addicted. While setting up Boinc on my main computer, I read about the other projects on the boinc website and attached to rosetta too.

What changed in my life:
* I gained some friends and met a lot of friendly people. I'd like to highlight BlackMountainCow and Petrusbroder especially.
* I've seen some great competitors, Ken_06 and recently caferace.
* My fleet expanded from 1 cruncher to 9 crunchers and there's still no end in sight, I still have 3 more mainstream class CPUs waiting for some mre hardware
* I feel good donating CPU time to worthy projects

Achievements:

Boinc:
over_132,000 credits at Rosetta@Home
over__60,000 credits at WCG
over__15,000 credits at Nano-Hive@Home
over__12,000 credits at Einstein@Home
over___9,000 credits at Simap@Home
over___9,000 credits at CPDN
over___6,000 credits at Proteins@Home
over___4,000 credits at Malariacontrol.net
over___4,000 credits at Docking@Home
over___3,000 credits at QMC@Home
over___2,000 credits at Tanpaku
over___1,000 credits at SETI@Home
over_____800 credits at Ralph@Home
over_____500 credits at Spinhenge@Home
over_____100 credits at uFluids
over______60 credits at Predictor@Home

Boinc combined:__263,003 credits

Other Platforms:
nearly_50,000 credits at DPAD/Muon1
over__13,000 credits at Folding@Home

Thank you for this great time, I'm looking forward to a few more years of crunching together with you.

(I'm posting this now because I go on holiday tomorrow, 1 day France, 1 week Switzerland, most of the crunchers are already shut down, yes, caferace is going to overtake me in WCG now :()

I'm curious with only 267 posts now a year later how you picked Anandtech to crunch with. For people like myself the choice was obvious.

I had another forum account here earlier, I changed it to so that it matches better with my username in DC projects.

I first learnt about Anandtech when the first Half-Life2 benchmarks were posted here. Anandtech was the first to publish these results in 2003 I think. That was also the reason why I chose it as a team.

Congratulations on all the milestones.

You left one out, though. You started the please delete thread which the TeAm's voracious neffers promptly took over.:D

I don't have a "Fleet". It's more like a loosely-affiliated gang of computers.

Definitely one hell of an achievement, and one that will be remembered for a good long time (especially if I can help it). :D

 & :wine: to another good year. Hmm, going at that rate of expansion on your fleet, this time next year you'll have... 81 machines. ;)

Congrats, Tom, to your anniversary! :D
You have really done well - both in crunching and in posting! Your thread is a classic, a record breaker and was/is a great initiative! :sun:

So enjoy and please stay on - you are a great team-mate!
